I quit smoking about 7 months ago (wahoo!!!), but back when I was smoking I went through a short period where I smoked in the house (sick, I know). Luckily for my girlfriend, I had a smokeless ash tray similar to this one.

This sucker is stainless steel and includes a glass ashtray, which is much better quality than the plastic one that I used to have.

How does it work? According to the description, the smoke is broken down into minute, negatively charged particles which are then captured by the positively charged stainless steel lining of the dome.

While I’m sure that it can’t possibly eliminate the smell of smoke, these things do a darn good job of keeping it tolerable.

If you live in a household where people smoke indoors, even if you all do, you’ll be doing everyone a favor by picking this up. And hey, maybe people will be willing to come over and visit again!
