Sleeping Bag Shaped Like Your Body

A sleeping bag that is shaped like your body…I can’t believe that it’s never been thought of before!
A traditional sleeping bags usually does a good job of keeping you warm…after all, that’s what it was designed to do. The problem is that they keep you warm by keeping you squeezed together, so it feels very confining.
This cool new sleeping bag design allows you to flop around in your sleep as much as you need to, while still keeping you warm in temps as low as -8.4C. Awesome.

body shaped sleeping bag - i find that when all body parts are close together, body heat is generated and you are warmer. its like the idea of mittens.

This eliminates the possibility for cuddling with a loved one, which is something I found most endearing about the previous design.

Increases surface area - not good when its really cold.

Umm…. -4 degrees C isn’t really all that cold.
Most really basic sleeping bags could do that.

“not good when its really cold”
I don’t know. If it gets even close to -8C, I’m not freakin’ sleeping in a sleeping bag anyway.
I really didn’t mind the old one very much. What if your knee gets an itch? Plus the added benefit of zipping two of the old style together for camping fun with a partner.

This has to be one of the coolest things ive seen in a long time and when i get enough money im getting one, you can walk can go for a run in this to keep warm if you have to, couldnt do that in the old design couldya?

LOL, that guy looks like pacman with legs….
I think this thing looks cool, practically though it would seem as though the jury is still out.
Perfect for staying cosy and being able to mission around the house, but if you have a friend, the old design is still a winner.

At first I thought it was a pretty neat idea. After reading some of the comments though, I have to agree that the original design is better. What I’d like is to be able to uncover my feet while in a sleeping bag. My feet can get terribly hot, even when the rest of me is cool. Do they make anything out there like that? Like the convertible gloves/mittens Would be nice to find a sleeping bag like that. When you want to cover your feet just tuck the end over to seal in the warmth. Maybe by using velcro?

this is a pretty unique idea, & a lotta good comments, how bout maybe zippiing 2 together, with your friend zipped in with you.?

This is exactly what a sleeping bad is designed not to be, but a great idea for an outdoor festival or late summer camping&drinking with friends.

Make a white one, get a mask.
Now your the michelin man.

I agree wholly with those concerned with having body parts separate while sleeping. This bag is a neat idea, but really wouldn’t be very effective in temps lower than 45-50 degrees. andything below freezing and one leg in a tube wont keep the foot warm enough… Still would be fun for hanging around the campfire… except for that whole fire hazard thing…

Is that guy Ben Stiller?

This eliminates all the fun of jumping around houses and cabins in the middle of the night, trying to contain one’s giggles.
Not for me!

They had damn well better put a zipper crotch in this thing.

German Army has been using sleeping bags like these for years so not such a new idea. Although the German ones don’t have legs but they do have a zip to open the bag from the knees down. They even have holes in the hoodie for a headset. These look much better though! Great idea.

Strange new products that have a tendency to succeed.

I think normal sleeping bags are quite uncomfortable, but that looks really comfy - well done.

Fancy snow suit

Jebus—LOL.
i kind of like this design, it seems better suited for protective purposes rather than sleeping bag.

I don’t care how impractical it may be, it looks awesome and I would totally be the koolest kid at band camp!!!
October 21st, 2008 at 4:48 pm
Too bad it only is warm to -8.4 C
But it is awesome.

You complainers are missing one point, you can spend extended periods of time in your sleeping bag, you could go to mcdonalds in it, drive a car, operate heavy machinery
October 22nd, 2008 at 6:49 am
Is it comfortable? That’s the only thing I”m wondering. I hate sleeping with too many clothes on so would this feel too bulky to me?
October 22nd, 2008 at 5:28 pm
OMG I totally want one for the novelty factor alone!
January 14th, 2009 at 2:45 pm
I do like the idea that you can get up and run if you need to, great for sleep walkers, but what about people who are overweight? What kind of size capacity does this thing have before it just looks like and 80’s work-out outfit?
And I agree with Timmy, it need a crotch zipper, for many reasons.

But you can’t fart in your bag and smell it…
