About The Site - The Coolest Gifts was created by your average, everyday, slightly geeky late 20’s guy named Walt. But why was it created? Glad you asked. There are quite a few reasons…

First, I love cool products. I can’t get enough of them (literally, I can’t get enough…stupid money).

Second, while there are tons of gadget blogs, they seem to feature more posts with concepts and technology news then actual products. I wanted to create a site that would only feature cool products that can actually be purchased.

Finally, I love giving cool gifts, and I wanted to make it easy for other people to do the same. If you haven’t noticed the categories to the left, take a look. You can see that they have all the gifts broken down by price range, recipient, and type of gift. Basically, if you can’t find a cool gift idea for your boyfriend / girlfriend / mom / dad / sister / brother / etc here, you won’t find it anywhere.

That always seems to surprise people, because it looks nothing like a traditional WordPress blog.

And that surprise always makes me happy because, well…I didn’t want it to look like a blog! I had a vision for what I wanted this site to look like, so I played with Photoshop until I had a mockup of what I wanted. I then found a company that would take my designs and turn them into a custom WordPress theme.

The result is what you’re looking at.

And no, I’m sorry, but the theme is not for sale.
